On November 23, 2023, Fr. John Chryssavgis participated in a dialogue on “AI, Bioethics, and Orthodoxy” as part of a new Bioethics and Orthodoxy online series hosted by Prof. Constantine Psimopoulos, HMS, Director of the Division of Bioethics, for the Orthodox Academy of Crete, which is under the auspices of the Ecumenical Patriarchate. Fr. John also represented Archbishop Elpidophoros at this event.
Prof. Constantine Psimopoulos -among other distinguished guests, including Metropolitan Ambrosios of Korea- introduced Prof. Manolis Kellis from MIT, a prominent scientist in Artificial Intelligence, recent recipient of the highest distinction in Science from the President of the Hellenic Republic, and parishioner of Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Cambridge.
