For Immediate Release
Boston, MA-On January 24, 2025, the Huffington Ecumenical Institute at Holy Cross School of Theology organized a colloquium on a Common Date of Easter. The event marked the 1700th anniversary of the First Ecumenical Council of Nicaea. It aimed to discuss how the decisions of that historical council relate to the date of Easter in the modern era. Presenters addressed pastoral, inter-orthodox, and ecumenical perspectives. The colloquium was attended by theologians from across the United States. A statement will be forthcoming and disseminated for further discussion.
