HEI On the Road: Earth -One Sustainable Planet For All- A Call To Action. Change is Possible

On September 10, 2024, Rev. Dr. John Chryssavgis, Archdeacon of the Ecumenical Patriarchate and Executive Director of the Huffington Ecumenical Institute at Hellenic College Holy Cross will be the keynote speaker at the Ecological Symposium in Rethymno titled “EARTH: ONE SUSTAINABLE PLANET FOR ALL – A call to action. Change is possible.”. The Holy Metropolis of Rethymno and Avlopotamos, the University of Crete, and the Goulandri Museum of Natural History are the organizers of the Symposium which is part of the anniversary events for the completion of 200 years since the martyrdom of the Holy Four New Martyrs, Manuel, Angel, Georgiou, and Nikolaou (1824-2024) in Rethymno. They will include speeches by experts in the field raising awareness and addressing the climate crisis.

The Symposium is under the auspices of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, and the Presidency of the Hellenic Republic. His All-Holiness will be represented by His Eminence Elder Metropolitan Dimitrios of Prinkiponnesos.
