“O JERUSALEM, JERUSALEM” (MT 23.37)

December 12, 2023 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Virgin Mary, Bethlehem

THE CHRISTIANS OF PALESTINE

As horrific violence escalates in Israel and Palestine, much of the public discourse has reduced the conflict to a binary world of Jews and Muslims. Yet, the place of conflict is also the historic home of Christianity, with Christians living in Gaza, the West Bank, Jerusalem, and elsewhere. Who are the Arab and Palestinian Christians of the “Holy Land” and what do Christians living in the US need to know about their lived experiences now?

Join local Palestinian Christians living in Massachusetts, pastors who have served in the region, scholars, and journalists for a panel discussion about the longing and lament of those with close ties to the region. Hear what you can do to be in solidarity and prayer.
This event is jointly organized by The Huffington Ecumenical Institute at HCHC and The Massachusetts Council of Churches.
