With the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Apostolos, the Metropolis of New Jersey is pleased to announce a special Diaconate Retreat to be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at St. Thomas Greek Orthodox Church in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
This retreat is designed to support and inspire both ordained Deacons and current Candidates enrolled in the Diaconate Program at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology. In addition, it is open to all parishioners who may be discerning a calling to the Diaconate and whom parish leadership believes would be worthy and interested in pursuing this sacred vocation.
The retreat is free of charge and will feature presentations and spiritual reflections from His Eminence Metropolitan Apostolos and Rev. Dr. John Chryssavgis, Executive Director at the Huffington Ecumenical Institute at HCHC.
This is a unique opportunity for spiritual growth, theological enrichment, and fellowship among those exploring or deepening their commitment to service in the Orthodox Church.
